Waste Pick-Up Announcement

By Pepen, UNDP

UNDP would like to announce that many scheduled neighborhood trash pick-ups have been temporarily stopped, due to technical difficulties.

IDP camps will continue being serviced by Dinas Kebersihan trucks, in addition to a number of streets within the city of Meulaboh. UNDP is considering extending its support to the Sanitation Department to resume regular pickups and apologizes for any inconvenience in the meantime.

Residents are encouraged to dispose of their garbage at the Lapang Final Dumpsite located on Jl. Imam Bonjol, Lr. Kayu Putih, Suak Raya (approximately 3 km from Cut Nyak Dhien Hospital).

If you do not have transportation to the Lapang Dumpsite, please note there are several yellow UNDP waste containers around town where you can dispose of small amounts of waste. The locations are as follows:

Ujong Baroh
Bina Usaha fish market
Lr. Nangka I
Jl. Nasional (in front of traditional market)
Jl. Tgk. Dirundeng (beside Muhamadiyah orphanage house)
