A Reviewed Recipe (Using All Meulaboh Ingredients)

You can use any fish, as long as it doesn’t fall apart in the pan
Ingredients:
Fish for approximately 4 people
1 kilo tomatoes
Onions (to your liking)
Garlic
1 small carton of coconut milk*
Little bit of ginger
Salt
Lemon
*Coconut milk can be found in Mandiri or Istana Market
Directions:
Cut an X on the bottom of the tomatoes and boil in hot water for 10-15 minutes, peel skins when soft
Fry onions and add tomatoes and garlic to pan, let simmer for one hour
Smash tomatoes, add coconut milk and a little ginger to the mix
In separate pan, quickly fry fish, add a little salt and lemon
Add fish to sauce and let simmer for 1/2 hour
