Bar-B-Que Chicken

A Reviewed Recipe (Using All Meulaboh Ingredients)

Ingredients:
1 chicken (cut into pieces)
1 bottle of ketchup
1 can of Coke or Diet Coke
2 large onion
2 table spoons butter (AKA Blue Band)


Sauce:
Thinly slice the onion. Sauté the onion in the butter until it becomes translucent. Add in the Coke and ketchup. Cook the sauce until it becomes thick and dark red — about 5-10 minutes.

Oven Baked:
Spread the chicken evenly in a 9 x 13 inch pan. Cover chicken with about ¾ of the sauce.* Bake at 180 degrees Celsius for 45 minutes or until the chicken is golden brown on top and white through out on the bottom.

Grilled:
Brown the chicken slightly. Baste with sauce. Cook over charcoal until white throughout. Keep adding sauce to ensure chicken remains moist.

*Additional B-B-Que sauce can be used as a condiment.
